খদ্দের ঘরের মাপ বললেই কত রঙ লাগবে বের করে দেওয়া, দৈর্ঘ্য, প্রস্থ, উচ্চতা, কয় কোট, আর দরজা-জানালা ক'টা। দুই কোট ধরাই থাকে, কারণ সেটাই সাধারণ; বদলাতে চাইলে বদলানো যায়। দরজা-জানালার মাপ দিলে সেটুকু বাদ যায়, না দিলে স্ক্রিনেই লেখা থাকে যে বাদ যায়নি। উত্তরটা লিটারে তো বটেই, দোকানে যে টিনে বিক্রি হয় সেই হিসাবেও, ১৪ লিটার মানে ৪ লিটারের ৪ টিন, ২ লিটার বেশি, আর সেটাও বলে দেয়। এক চাপে বিলে বসে যায়। এক লিটারে কত স্কয়ার ফিট যায় সেটা আপনি নিজের টিনের গায়ে দেখে বসাবেন, কোনো কোম্পানির তালিকা এখানে দেওয়া নেই, আর যে পণ্যে সেটা বসানো নেই তার জন্য অনুমান করে কিছু বলা হয় না, বরং কোথায় বসাতে হবে সেটা দেখিয়ে দেয়।Answering "how much paint will this room take" while the customer is standing there, length, breadth, height, how many coats, and how many doors and windows. Two coats is what it opens on, because that is what a painter does, and it can be changed. Give it the openings and it takes them off; leave them out and the screen says so rather than quietly overstating. The answer comes in litres and in the pack your shop actually sells, 14 litres is four 4-litre tins with 2 litres over, and it says so, and it goes onto the bill in one press. The coverage figure is the one you read off your own tin; no brand's table is included, and a product you have not set it on is reported as such rather than guessed at.

কয়টা দরজা আর কয়টা জানালা বসান। ওগুলোর জায়গা বাদ দিয়েই হিসাব হবে।Enter how many doors and windows there are; their area comes off the total.
কয় কোট রঙHow many coats
কয় কোট রঙ হবে সেটা দিন। বেশি কোট মানে বেশি রঙ, হিসাবটা সেভাবেই হবে।Say how many coats. More coats means more paint, and the figure follows.
