- প্রথমবার নেট থাকা অবস্থায় খুললে সফটওয়্যারটা আর পণ্যের তালিকা ফোনে জমা হয়ে যায়। এরপর নেট গেলেও কাউন্টার খোলে।The first time it opens with internet, the software and the product list are stored on the device. After that the counter opens even without a line.

যে কাউন্টার তিন দিন সার্ভারের সঙ্গে কথা বলেনি, সে অফলাইন বিল কাটা থামায়, লাইন ফিরলেই আবার চলে। কারণ: দাম বদলে থাকতে পারে, প্যাকেজ শেষ হয়ে থাকতে পারে, আর তিন দিন আগের তালিকায় বিল কাটতে থাকা দোকানের ক্ষতি। সীমাটা ৭২ ঘণ্টা রাখা হয়েছে ২৪ নয়, কারণ বাংলাদেশে দেড় দিন লাইন না থাকা স্বাভাবিক খারাপ সপ্তাহ, আর যে নিরাপত্তা নিয়ম রোজ বাজে তাকে মানুষ পাশ কাটায়।
A till that has not spoken to the server for three days stops billing offline and resumes the moment it reconnects. The reason: prices may have changed, a plan may have ended, and billing off a three-day-old list costs the shop money. The bound is 72 hours rather than 24 because in Bangladesh a day and a half without a line is an ordinary bad week, and a safety rule that fires every day is one people learn to work around.

রিপোর্ট (লাভ-ক্ষতি, দিনের বিক্রি), সেটিংস বদলানো, এসএমএস পাঠানো, অন্য শাখার স্টক দেখা, আর প্রথমবার লগইন: এগুলোতে সার্ভার লাগে। অফলাইন মানে কাউন্টার চলবে, অফিস নয়। যে সফটওয়্যার বলে "সবকিছু অফলাইনে", সে হয় নিজের ফোনেই সব রাখে (তখন ফোন হারালে সব যায়), না হয় ঠিক বলছে না।
Reports (profit and loss, the day's sales), changing settings, sending SMS, viewing another branch's stock, and the very first login: these need the server. Offline means the counter keeps working, not the back office. Software that says "everything works offline" either keeps everything on the phone alone (and loses it with the phone) or is not being precise.

The server's stock moves when the line returns and the queued bills go up; the device's list keeps the count from the last sync. If more was sold offline than the shelf had, the server accepts the bill and flags it so you can correct the count; it does not refuse the bill.

Whatever has not yet reached the server goes with the phone; what has synced is safe on the server. That is why the sync should be allowed to finish when the line returns, and the software reminds you.
